Recommended Hotels
7
By the year 2000, there were roughly 130,000 rooms in Las
8
Vegas. This makes selecting a hotel room intimidating, but not
9
impossible. One must consider the usual factors — cost, location, and
10
budget — as well as how integral you want your hotel to be to your
11
visit. It is possible, though not advisable, to visit Las Vegas and
12
never leave your hotel premises.
13
The following is a recommended selection of Las Vegas’s best
14
hotels in four price categories. For a comprehensive listing of
15
available hotels and motels, call the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors
16
Authority (see Accommodations on page 109).
17
All businesses must comply with the Americans with
18
Disabilities Act, and are therefore wheelchair accessible. Newer
19
properties are the easiest to navigate, older and Downtown properties
20
slightly more difficult.
21
All hotels in Las Vegas accept all major credit cards (Visa,
22
Mastercard, American Express). Price ranges listed do not include
23
suites. Expect holiday and weekend rates to be significantly higher,
24
and be sure to ask for specific quotes for your intended stay. For more
25
information about most of these hotels, particularly with regard to
26
their casinos and attractions, look in Where To Go starting on page
27
26.
