The project software environment has been updated. Version `2024-05-13` is the default now: it includes **[R 4.4](https://www.r-bloggers.com/2024/04/whats-new-in-r-4-4-0/)** as the default R. Many packages were updated as well.

Note: if you had installed R packages locally in your project before, you have to re-compile them.

As usual, there are also a ton of upgrades for the Python 3 (system-wide) environment, and various underlying Linux packages.

If you run into problems, please let us know in support. You can also always switch back to the previous environment in Project Settings → Control → Software Environment and select "Ubuntu 22.04 
 // Previous".

The default "R Statistics" compute server image also includes R 4.4 by default as well.
